Early life and education Briney was born in Hartford, Connecticut,[3] the son of actors who had met in New York City.[4] He has one sister.[5][6]
He attended Waterbury Arts Magnet School[3] and participated in a five-week intensive theatre program at Wesleyan University in 2015.[5][7] In 2016, he moved to New York City[8] to attend Pace University. He graduated with a BFA in acting in 2020.[9][10] While a student, he worked at a Trader Joe's on the Lower East Side.[11][12]
Career In 2021, the then-unknown Briney was cast in the biographical film Dalíland after being discovered by director Mary Harron.[4][13] He had sent in an audition tape for The Summer I Turned Pretty before production began on Dalíland.
